With the growing business of periodic installment and repayment services, SPECTRA Technologies designed and implemented a custom-made solution, BASS, for Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia in the years of 1996 to 1998.
Through BASS, the bank and its merchants can process credit card transactions in batch format. Without the need of going through individual applications, operations only need to convert the updated credit card and transaction information into the system on the settlement day. BASS then handles these payments automatically. The system let merchants benefit from happy customer base and Standard Chartered Bank advantages from higher efficiency.
