Banks Launch EMV on SPECTRA POS Terminals

EMVCo, EMV new requirements aim at to maintain the EMV Integrated Circuit Card Specifications ensuring POS Terminal and card approval processes are interoperability in worldwide payment systems. Thus banks are upgrading their payment systems to attain this standard. SPECTRA Technologies, as a participant in the payment system of banks, has upgraded its S9090 and S9010 POS Terminals up to the EMV specifications. From end of 2005 till now, banks started their EMV migration plan. Such banks include Bank of China Credit Card, Citibank, Hang Seng Bank, American Express, FUBON, Bank of East Asia, HSBC and DBS, they have deployed their EMV applications in the market with thousands of SPECTRA POS Terminals. Other banks namely, Standard Chartered Bank, Wing Hang Bank and Wing Lung Bank, etc will have the move soon.

 

 

Having worldwide presence, SPECTRA Technologies also have POS Terminals having EMV applications in Macau. Those banks include Banco Nacional Ultramarino, Bank of China Credit Card and DBS, etc, more banks will deploy the EMV applications in the near future such as Seng Heng Bank and HSBC.
