SPECTRA CREON Series POS Gets PCI PED Security Approval


           SPECTRA Technologies announced that its full series of CREON POS terminal has been certified with the requirement of Payment Card Industry -- PIN Entry Device (PCIPED) security standard on both online and offline PIN authentication for Point of Sales PEDs.  The CREON POS terminal series are designed to meet the needs of global payment market with options for desktop, portable, mobile, and wireless version.

 

PCIPED is established by 2 organizations - MasterCard and Visa, which issue documents of the PCI specifications and ensure the highest level of security to be meet. With this new certification, CREON POS terminals will be best compliance with the security standard of the international organizations, and cardholders around the world can be ensure the maximum security protection of their PIN code entry.

 

Combined with world-class advanced features, CREON is designed for merchants to benefit from faster transaction speeds, greater security and more cost effective processing in electronic payment transactions. The standard version CREON handles credit card, debit card, EMV, loyalty, instalment and small-purchase, while CREON GPRS is especially suitable for all kinds of mobile application like taxi, lottery, pre-paid top up and home delivery service and supports GSM voice communication.
