MasterCard’s TQM program was created in 2002 to help ensure the quality and reliability of EMV-compliant terminals worldwide. The TQM process consists of auditing, on-site, the entire life cycle of a product (from design and manufacturing to field support), thus helping to ensure customer satisfaction through consistent product quality levels. MasterCard’s TQM label is specific to an Interface Module (IFM) and is manufacturing site dependent.
