Since 1996, SPECTRA Technologies has designed and implemented a custom-made system (BASS) for Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. In order to increase the system efficiency and improve the system performance, SPECTRA Technologies develops the enhanced version of BASS - Electronic Authorization and Settlement System (EASE) which runs at Windows platform in 2003 for SCB (HK).
Through EASE, merchant achieves batch authorization and settlement without the need of going through individual applications. Moreover, as EASE is a window-based system, it completely eliminates the software integration risk and cost inherited from other framework products. No hardware re-investment is needed as EASE collaborates well with customers' existing network infrastructure. Therefore customers will not incur the unnecessarily high maintenance and operation charges
