Chinatrust Commercial Bank expressed that it was the bank's strategy in aggressively generating IC-card based loyalty programs aiming bigger consumer benefit. It was also the bank's goal to provide all-round Life Card covering virtually every consumer product type so as to let the public enjoy the intelligence and reward brought by IC card solutions.
SPECTRA Technologies, therefore, designed and implemented tailored loyalty programs for the bank's various merchants.
In 2000, Blockbuster Taiwan unveiled its IC Value-add Program, which is the island's first-of-its-kind e-purse with bonus program. It is also the first Blockbuster to introduce IC card based loyalty program worldwide. Cardholders need no cash for purchase, rental or any service of the store.
Sung Qing is one of the biggest supermarket chains in Taiwan with branches all over the island. In end 1996, the supermarket launched its loyalty program on its tenth anniversary to reward its customers and staff. SPECTRA Technologies tailored the program such that on top of conventional services like bonus point validation, handling of refund and return goods, the store is reminded to send gifts to cardholder's family members during their birthdays.
Thank God Its Friday unveiled the first loyalty program in the catering industry. Through "Friday's Card" the restaurant brings to its fans bonus points of upto 22% discount, free gift, birthday surprise and gift coupon, etc.... The program dislodges the restaurant's stint in just another reactive food and beverage provider.
