HSBC made use of SPECTRA P2000 POS terminals to launch Instant Redemption of Reward Points

From now until 5 December 2004, holders of HSBC credit card can redeem an array of selected products starting with just 1,000 reward points, or convert the points into cash credit at a fixed conversion rate of 250 points to HK$1 to offset their card purchase at Fortress. To simplify the redemption procedures, SPECTRA has developed a special program at P2000 POS terminal. Merchant can perform the redemption of reward points at P2000 with simple steps, and they do not need to fill in any form for approval. Apart from instant redemption of selected products and cash credit, the P2000 program also provides the real-time enquiry of reward points so cardholders can plan how to use their points.
